An article database is a searchable collection of articles published in journals, magazines, newspapers, etc.

Some, such as Academic Search Premier, are general and have articles on many different topics.

Some are subject specific and focus on a particular discipline; CAB Abstracts covers all aspects of agriculture.

Many search pages look very similar, so be sure to check for the database name to know what you’re searching.

An article database may contain articles for the general public, professional practitioners, subject experts, or a combination of these.

Use article databases to find reliable information from identified sources. Many articles are available in full-text.
