Course Reserves is where some professors put textbooks on hold in the library for students to use. Almost always, your professor will tell you if he or she has put a textbook on reserve. However, you can always check in the library catalog by following these steps

1. Select the library catalog link on the library home page.

 ""

2.  You can choose to view items on course reserve by course or by instructor.
""

3.  Or, to search for a particular item on course reserve, enter the title of the book you are searching for, and select Title in the drop down box next to the search bar. You can also search by Keyword, Author, or Subject.

 ""

4. If the book you are looking for pulls up, look under the result at the location. If it says “Merrill-Cazier Reserves, Library media Collections (1st Floor SW)” that means that your book is on course reserves.  Write down the call # so that you can check it out from the course reserves desk.

""

5.   After that, you can go to Course Reserves on the 1st floor of the library, and check out the textbook for three hours. Materials from Course Reserves are NOT renewable online or over the phone. You will need to have your student ID and and the call # of your book.
