Integrated compliance and enforcement information for approximately 800,000 facities nationwide. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency regulates facilities under such environmental statutes as: the Clean Air Act (CAA) Stationary Source Program; Clean Water Act (CWA); National Pollutant Elimination Discharge System (NPDES); Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA); and Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA). Data about inspection, violation, enforcement action, informal enforcement action, and penalties are available for the past three years. ECHO integrates data from several EPA databases that comprise the Integrated Data for Enforcement Analysis system (IDEA), operated by EPA's Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance.
